Every Day Natural Makeup Look

Hello All!
I'm here today with something a bit different. I don't do makeup tutorial videos or anything like that. So this is my first venture into telling other people how to use the products I wear (so be forgiving if this isn't my best work). This is a look that I wear every day, its pretty simple. I don't like wearing a ton of makeup. I don't like it when a girl is almost unrecognizable when she's not wearing a face full of makeup. I love changing it up with different lip colors, but other than that my make up routine is pretty concrete. So lets dive in shall we.

                                                                             Primers:
Makeup has been a big learning process for me. I have always loved it,and wanted to know more about it. I watched YouTubers, and thought "do you really NEED all of those products?" "do I HAVE to do that?" the answers are up to you. I have found myself taking things a step at a time. One of them is primers. I didn't believe in them until these came along.

Product: Mabeline " Baby Skin" primer
It erases pores as promised, with a smooth finish. And it is affordable!
Application: I just smooth it over my skin, but do not rub it in. Remember that it is supposed to sit on top of the skin in order to smooth over anything.

Product:Beneft " Lemon aid"
Then eye primers are a different story. I have found it to be so helpful with keeping eye shadow and eyeliner in place. I have only used this primer and it gets the job done. But I highly suggest using a primer if you are into using eyeshadow.
Application: Pretty much the same as the face primer

Face:
 Product:Chanel Tinted Moisturizer
I have written about this product before, its a classic favorite of mine. I like wearing tinted moisturizers or BB creams most days, if my skin is in good shape. So this is what I chose for this look.
Application:I just put a little bit on the back of my hand(add more if needed),and with a face brush swivel it around my face in a circular motion.

Product: Mabeline Age Rewind Concealer
This product is one of the best under eye concealers I have ever tried. Its not cakey and keeps under eye bags almost invisible(unless you didn't get sleep at all, than thats just sad)
Application:I create a triangle under my eye. Starting from right under the eye, going down the side if the nose, then to the outer corner. Smooth it over with my ring finger gently, and trying not to pull the skin.

Product:Mabeline Green Concealer Stick
A must have for anyone with blemishes(which is mostly everyone, cmon no one is perfect here). I put this on before my foundation and concealer. Green cancels out red on the color wheel so it helps with the appearance of clear skin.
Application:I just dot this on a zit I would like to cover up, pat in a little bit but now much. Then cover with my foundation and concealer.

Product:Make Up Forever Full Cover Concealer
I have taken about this concealer as well, so go check it out. To sum is up,this concealer is bad ass.
Application:Like foundation I put a bit on my hand the use either a brush or my finger to pat it on what I would like to be covered.

Product:NARS "Laguna" Bronzer
This is one of those products that I talked about earlier. Everyone used bronzer and I never though I could because I am so pale. But I was  wrong. I learned how to properly apply it (blend and dont use a shit ton basically)
Application: I load some on to the fluffy brush then tab it against the pot in order to get the excess off. The make a fish face, dusting it on the temples, cheek bones, jawline, chin, and down my nose. Like I said DONT USE A SHIT TON.

Eyes:
Product: Benefit Brow Duo
Again, I didn't do my eyebrows for a long time because I thought "hey they are blonde, no one can see them anyway". But then all this "brows on fleek" stuff had started so I was tempted. After a trip the the Benefit Brow Bar, I was in love. Now I can't not do my brows.
Application: With a brown brush I shape them. Then fill them in with the creamy wax side, then dust on the setting powder(sorry I didn't get a picture of the product)

Product:Stila Eye Liner
I went to the all mighty pintrest to see others opinion on the best liquid liner out there. And I was let right. Directed to this eye liner, I immediately ordered this bad boy. I was NOT disappointed. I think this is the best liner i have ever used. Its relatively easy to apply(considering its liquid liner)with the felt tip, and doesn't budge. Ill put it on before work and at the end of the day it is still in tact.
Application: Everyone does it their own way, I just get it as close to the lash line as possible, letting it dry then going back in the add more or fix what I didn't get before.

Product: Benefit Roller Lash Mascara
I'm in love with this mascara. Lengthens, creates dense lashes, and great applicator brush. I like dissss.
Application: I just do it like anyone else does. Unless they use their feet instead of hands, Im not that coordinated.

Lips
Product: NYX Butter Gloss
I love lip products. Thats the most versatile I get. But for this look, I went for this uber creamy lipgloss that is just the right shade to give me that natural look.
Application: I put it on my lips like anyone else would.

There ya have it. That is what I do to my face almost every day! Hope you enjoyed, and have a wonderful week!

Sentimental Value

Hello All,
I'm here with another outfit post. I have a few beauty posts coming soon,to kind of break up the constant outfit posts. I've been trying to write a little message in each piece, to make it more than "oh hey, this is an outfit I picked out, isn't it just neat?". I try to make it a bit more. Which comes very easy to me,all because I genuinely love fashion. I love fashion through the decades, how someones style reflects their personality, and how exciting wearing a new outfit feels. Another part I love is the memories.
Clothes hold so much sentimental value to me. And I think they do to a lot of people. Walk into your grandparents closet. I guarantee they still own clothes from decades ago, because it tells a story. Or even in your own closet. In mine I have: A sparkly dress from New Years Eve 3 years back, a shirt that I wore to my first concert(where I got to meet the band),and this tan round brimmed hat.

This Round brimmed hat holds such a dear memory. A year ago I went to New York City. It was magical, exciting, and happened in a blink of an eye. I bought this hat the second day that I was there. It rained all day long, and was in need of protection from the drizzle. Since then, it has pretty much become my umbrella.I put that hat on today, and I feel the nostalgia. I feel adventurous, and all over gorgeous. Another piece that brings out my inner rock star.

Well I hope you enjoyed todays post. I'll be back with new/different posts.
Have a wonderful week,

Courage.

So before, I wasn't a big bandana wearer. I had no idea how to pair it with something from my wardrobe, or if I could pull it off. Until I started seeing them in more of a scarf setting. Thats when I bought one. Still, it was just sitting there untouched. Until I bought this gray trapeze dress that needed a little something. A spur of the moment decision, that completely turned this outfit badass. The rest of the day I walked around like Clint Eastwood, felt mysterious. Actually no I did. I just felt freaking cool.
What I love about fashion is the comfort. But more or less I like trying something new, and becoming comfortable in something that I though I couldn't pull off. It's one if those things when I talk to other people about a certain look,or I'm wearing something a little out there and they say "oh I could never pull that off". My response to them is "All is takes is the courage to leave the house". And it is true. Once you make it out of there you,get a feel of it,and ultimately you own it. But its important to wear the outfit and not the outfit wear you. It's all in the psychology of it, in my opinion.
So the message I'm trying to leave here is, try something new. And have the courage to leave the house.

Until next time,
Kacie

Showing skin & Pop of color.

I wear a lot of black, white, and gray. Ive gotten into throwing a pop of color here and there to change it up. I've grown to understand that you have too in order to keep your look interesting. I mean, I love an all black outfit, but now I have to add a red lip or something to contrast.
I wear this outfit a lot. I love this top because of the braided razor back design in the back. Gray, simple, while showing some skin in the back. A summer staple for me. I mainly pair it with black skinnies and a pair of ankle boots/sandals. But its a little bland. So thats when the headband comes in. Its one of my favorite things. I wear it a lot when I throw my hair in a messy bun because I was too lazy to wash it. Yeah it's "That Headband"(most girls know what I mean). Or I throw it on when I need just a little something to spruce an outfit up. Keeping up with the bohemian/rocker style that I love.

All the Junk I Carry On a Daily Basis.

I've done the whole small purse thing, it doesn't work for me. I'm basically Mary Poppins. So a big bag is essential to life. That way I can tote around everything with me, especially food. I'm one of this people who will keep cliff bars, chips, and candy in her purse all the time. Like I said, I'm FREAKING MARY POPPINS.
But anyways, I love these kinds of post from other YouTubers and bloggers so I thought I'd give it a shot.
So this is the purse I'm currently carrying. I got it a Tjmaxx and the Brand is Moda Luxe. I'M OBSESSED with it.I'd marry it if I could. Its tan suede/leather, with two straps. One for your hand/ arm and one for the shoulder. Making it universal and handsfree if needed. With two large compartments, and separate pockets on both sides, its very organized. Like I said,OBSESSED.

Onto my stuff. Starting with my Fossil wallet. I've had this for a while and its basically just a pouch with not much organization. Which I think is why I like it. Im not one of those people who will slide a card out of a designated slot then put it back in. I wish I was one of those people, but sadly I'm not. Thats why this wallet works for me.I throw things in it,an organized mess as some would call it.
And duh, my keys. My house key is shaped like a guitar. I guess thats cool.
Then Sunglasses. I am a sunglasses addict. I usually have two different pairs in my bag. And they are always getting switched in and out. The ones I have here are my Ray Ban Clubmasters and my Urban Outfitters Sunnies.
Camera.I've done a post on how I keep a deposable camera in my bag.You never know what you'll get!
My journal and book. I like to keep a book in my purse all the time. You never know if you get an hour off to go sit in a coffee shop, and get the chance to relax and read. So I always have one. My current read is "The Gifts of Imperfection" by Brene Brown. And my journal is from the Rifle Paper Co. I have lots of ideas that circulate so I like to keep a journal close by.
Then my Little Mermaid makeup bag.I'm going to nerd out here for a sec. Ariel is by far my favorite princess. And when I found this bag at Walgreens, I was sold. So I get extremely happy when I see it in my purse.Anyways, I keep a few beauty staples in this. Just a few of the things I need to touch up. And always a red lipstick, because you never know where you'll end up.

Okay, there ya have it. Thats what is in my giant awesome purse.
Until next time.

Muses: Kate Hudson

One of my fashion icons is Kate Hudson. Every time I watch Almost Famous, I cry. She is so beautiful, and her energy lights up the world. Yes, I have a girl crush on her. But who wouldn't, honestly?
Her style is carefree, bohemian, rocker, and daring. From street style to red carpet, she looks flawless. She keeps it simple, and knows what works for her. Which I think makes her confidence flow. And I admire her style because in the future, people will look back on her outfit and still think she looks great. Her style is timeless. And so is her elegance. You're a babe Kate!

A Style that will last forever.

So I love vintage fashion. I have to. I'm an absolute history geek who loves fashion. I have studied styles and trends through every decade, dating back to 1700's. And it's fun when you see history repeating itself with new trends that are being brought back. But some looks will never die. They are known as classic. An outfit/item that can be worn through out history and still be adored. That is what this look it all about. A classic look that can be worn on ANY body type. A look that is sexy but also classy, leaving the minds wondering.

Inspirations: This looks is inspired by some of the sexiest woman in history. Have you noticed something that may be a little different than what is known to some as "sexy".  As you can see on Marilyn, the most skin she is showing is her knees. And on Bridget Bardot, she bears the arms, chest, and knees.I of course had to add Joan from Mad Men, for obvious reasons. And then Blake Lively, for whom I have gotten the idea from.A modern twist on classic style. But whats intriguing about the looks is the structure and the shape they have created with what they are wearing.

Even if you don't have that perfect hourglass figure, it can be obtained through finding the right skirt. Which is a high waisted midi skirt that should go down to either you knee cap or knee. Tight enough to show of what your momma gave ya. Pair with any top,for this outfit I chose a plain black tank. But I have also worn a white tee for a more causal look with this skirt.Paired with nude pumps to keep the classic vibe and BOOM,you've got yourself a bombshell.
Until next time,
kace.
