Hello everyone.
I have yet to talk about my new hair, my exciting white/gray/platinum hair. I have been wanting to do this for the longest time, and finally had it done. And I could not be happier. But as I've said: hair is an investment. I will go through the process of how it was done, then go through some of the products i use to keep it's ice cold appearance.
The process:
So I sat in the chair for 4 HOURS when I got my hair done. First they put bleach all over my head. I know what your thinking, ARE YOU INSANE?? Nope. And my hair girl sure as hell isn't either. She used special Olaplex treatments. I highly recommend going to a salon that uses this product, because my hair is still intact after an all over bleach, thanks to Olaplex. So after the bleach, we did an Olaplex treatment. Then we toned. A toner is a necessity. You tone you hair in order to get the highlighter yellow color out of your bleached hair. Creating the white/gray desired color.
So you just got your hair done, and you paid a pretty penny for your gorgeous locks. They look amazing when you walk out of the salon, but keep in mind what you are going to be doing in order to keep them looking so great.
At home care:
A purple shampoo is probably the most important thing to have. Im using this one from Fudge Urban. I have used different ones in the past which were great. This is one i have been using at the moment. It leaves my hair feeling a little bit softer than what the others do in the past. I actually mix it with my Mane and Tail shampoo so I can use it more often than just every other day like I used to do with other purple shampoos.
I also did an at home toner not to long ago and I was really pleased with how it turned out. It was an easy process, easy to apply, overall I was happy with it.I used the shade T14, pale ash blonde. So i do recommend it. I used this one for Wella. If you go to Sallys, there are lots of other toners. I had just heard a few good reviews on this one so i gave it a try. So I will always be open to new ways to take care if this hair.
Hopefully this was educational to a few of you who are blonder are thinking of going blonde!
until next time,
Kacie.

What I put on my face. Vol. 2
Whats happening everyone?
Well I did a post a few months back about the products I use on my face. Well most of that has changed, because I love trying new things out. So mostly everything has changed, and that's what I'm going to talk about today!
So for foundation, I went for a more high end product. I have used to MAC Face and Body foundation before, I like it, but didn't completely love it. So I was still on a hunt for a great one. And as you all know I'm a big Chanel fan. My friend Brooke works at a Chanel counter in my local Dillards. So occasionally I go there for a makeover, and she introduces me to some of my new favorite products. Thats why when I go anywhere to buy makeup, and they offer assistance(any makeup counter,Ulta, Sephora, etc) I always ask for recommendations.
She introduced me to this Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation. A lot of my favorite beauty bloggers talk so highly of this product, so it was worth a shot. It has a nice coverage, that in my opinion isn't so heavy and cakey. You can buff it into your skill easily, making a nice natural look.
So I bought this when I was in Denver. I was on vacation, and was going to a concert the next day. So of course my skin decided wage a war against me that weekend. So I went into sephora and asked for a good heavy duty concealer that will make them go away. And of course makeup isn't magic. But this concealer was pretty close. Covering my spots easily, and didn't ware off as easily as others usually do. So yes, I recommend this Makeup Forever Full Cover Concealer.
This concealer is what I use under my eyes. I mean the name is Wake Me Up. So duh I use it for my dark circles under my eyes. And my personal opinion on under eye make up, is a liquid concealer, otherwise it will look cakey. Thats bad. Easy build able coverage that is nice for nice for the under eye.
So I've just started using bronzer. Which for the longest time for me was something that I imagined as a bad idea(I'm so pale, that if a ghost and a clown had a baby, it would be me). But I've been trying it out. Obviously I don't pack it on, so I lightly dust it around my temples, cheekbones, chin, down the nose, and on my jawline. I use the Nars Laguna bronzer. A huge fan favorite for a very long time. And now I'm a massive fan of this product as well.
Now we are moving on to the eyes. I switch between a liquid liner and a gel. Both from NYX.
The liquid is the Super Skinny Marker. Easy as it looks(relatively speaking, because liquid liner IS SO HARD TO PUT ON AHHHHGHGHG). The felt tip pen makes it a dream to apply, and also not as messy as other liquid liners tend to be. I usually have to build it up, which means applying, applying, and applying. But that way you can make your look as dramatic as you like.
Ooooooh now my favorite part. Lips. So I wear a lot of lipstick, never been a lipgloss girl. Especially when I live in West Texas where the wind blows 4 different directions, you end up with hair, dirt, and small children stuck to your lips. So I stick with these 3 lipsticks on a day to day basis. I love Chanel, MAC, and any drugstore brand. I just really like lipstick guys.

I also use this gel liner from NYX for when I'm being super dramatic. Color lasts for ages, even is your skin is oily(yes, eyelids get oily too). Over all, great gel liner. And both liners are a bargain. NYX is a great cheap brand that you can find at your local drugstore.
So I've been wanting to try this mascara for ages. With a name like Better Than Sex, who wouldn't be tempted? This Too Faced product kills it. Makes lashes voluptuous, long, and dramatic if needed. I usually apply a few coats in order to get the look I like. But you have to wait for each coat to dry before you apply another. So if you want sexy lashes, I highly recommend this product for you.

90's and New Hair.
How have ya been? Well I just got back from Denver ,CO. It was amazing, so sad to be back. But what can ya do? And when I returned, I made a few changes. As you can tell I went for platinum locks, and chopped a few inches off. And it feels AMAZING. I love some change, and I've been wanting to do this with my hair for months. And I'm so happy with the way it came out. And with the new locks and all the shopping I did in Denver, I figured I could do a little outfit post. So here it is.
I bought this dress in Urban Outfitters in Denver. Whenever I travel, I always make my way into an urban, or I'm always shopping on their website. Safe to say that I love that place.
This dress makes me feel like a 90's Supermodel. It's comfy, long, and revealing in all the right places. I also love the color that looks great with all hair colors(I used to be a redhead, so i pay attention to these things). I paired it with these Steve Madden sandals. They are brown and strappy, could be paired with jeans and a tee shirt, or a dress. A pretty universal shoe that I will wear until they fall apart. And my Ray ban Club masters. I love these sunglasses so much. I will always go back to these. I'm a sunglass addict. I usually have a pair on, and carry about two pairs with me at all times. So I'm serious about sunglasses. And these are probably my all time favorite pair. And another staple is this Deena and Ozzy bag. Roomie, easy to pair, simple, and classic. Ace bag.
Until next time folks,

You.
For the past week or so, I've had a thought running through my head. Something that is a bit different than what I usually talk about on here. But its something I think would be interesting to discuss.
The moral/lesson/thing I want you to take from this post, is to love you, be you, and believe in yourself. A concept that I've been struggling with for a long time. This is a very complicated mindset that I'm trying to master. So this post is very real. Don't worry, I'll go back to rambling about things that I wear, and what wash my hair with.
Let's do this.
Impress you.
I believe in the thought of " Looking good, feeling good". I've struggled with low self esteem for most of my life. And at times,I don't think too much of myself. And as silly as it sounds, the thing that does help with my struggle is getting up every day, getting ready, and putting my best face forward to tackle whatever is happening. You wouldn't walk into combat unarmed would you? I don't tackle my struggles in sweatpants.
Don't get up every morning trying to impress anyone else other than yourself. Wake up and go for it. Put on something that will make you feel FEARLESS. Impress the hell out of yourself. Because that opinion is the only one that matters.
I hope all of you have a wonderful week!
Love,
Kacie.

A little goes a long way.
Yep, it's February. And here in West Texas its been a sunny 79 degree weather week, up until today when we had snow. Thats why I took the oppurtunity yesterday to take pictures in the beautiful sunshine. And since the weather was warm, I got to break out a more spring/summery tops that I have been dying to wear.
This top is unique. It has crochet upper half, then a sheer lower half. Making it fun, but that doesn't mean getting carried away.
When it comes to tops like these that are showing off my upper body, I tend to cover up my lower half as much I can. And the same goes with shorts,I usually like keeping it balanced. I think this balance offers ideas of showing off certain parts of your body, and keeping it classy. Instead of the alternative. You don't have to be a nun and cover yourself form head to toe, but cover yourself enough to keep people guessing.
Like the tile of this post, a little DOES go a long way.
Respect yourself, have fun with what you wear, but keep that balance that I talked about early on in this post.
I'm wearing this top, with dark blue jeans, ankle boots, and a pair of fun sunnies.
Please tell me what you think of this post.
Have a wonderful rest of your week.
love, kace

Hair
Hello all!
Soooooo I haven't blogged in months. I'm very sorry. My excuses will be moving, traveling, and the holidays. So now it's 2015! And of course a resolution of mine is to stop being lazy, and blog more! So here I am!
Now thats all finished, let's get chatting. Today's post is about hair. Now I'm one of those people who tries really hard on my hair to make it healthy. After dying it red then slowly bleaching it back to blonde, then to chopping it off, I've learned to take really good care of it. Now I'm working on getting it to an ashy white color, and its been a process. I have an awesome hair stylist who refuses to bleach my entire head of hair, which I can honestly respect. She still wants me to have hair at the end of the day, so thats why everything have been a process. So in between visits, I do lots of hair treatments(easy and non expensive)to save it. I believe that hair is an investment. Especially if you bleach it, dye it, or just wanting to keep it strong. So in this post, I'll talk about products and tips to keep your locks strong, shiny, and gorgeous.
If you're blonde:
The big part about being blonde, is staying "straight out of the salon" blonde. The best product for this a purple shampoo. Purple is the opposite of yellow on the color wheel, so it keeps your hair from looking brassy. They make tons of different purple shampoos, the one I use is Joico Color Endure Violet Sulfate Free Shampoo. I use it every other time I wash my hair. Its important to not use it too much or your hair will turn purple. And some places offer purple conditioner. Its not necessary, the shampoo is all you need. Also after bleaching and frying your hair, make sure you are using something to keep your hair healthy, we'll get to that later.
If you dye your hair:
You HAVE to get a shampoo and conditioner that is for color treated hair, so that the color will last longer. Coming from a former (from a bottle) redhead, when you pay to have your hair colored you want to keep it that color for as long as you can. Also, wash your hair in cold water, it also helps keep your color in tact. If you can, wash your hair as less as you can. If you color your hair with crazy awesome colors, a tip is to put hair dye in your conditioner to keep the color looking vibrant!
When I'm not washing my hair with purple shampoo, I go back and forth between shampoos. Depending on what I'm focusing on as far as its health. Right now I'm using Mane and Tail….aka horse shampoo. It makes your hair strong and thicker. Other drugstore brands I suggest are Dove and TRESemme. Cheap but still effective. The conditioner I'm using is TRESemme Advanced Technology. Any of their products are effective, affordable, and overall wonderful!
Health:
Starting off, take your vitamins. Duh. But taking biotin that benefits hair, skin, and nails is a easy way to grow healthy hair.
Keep heat off of your hair as much as you can, unless you have a heat protectant, then feel free. Heat protectants are a must, so that you won't fry your hair. Just a few sprits can save a couple of inches off of your hair easily.
Leave- In treatments are one of my everyday vices. Especially my It's a 10 miracle leave in spray. 10 benefits that make your hair as beautiful as its ever been. Though it may be pricey, it literally takes helps in so many areas, that its worth the price.
Masks and treatments- there are millions of easy masks that you could do while your just hanging out at home. Grab some olive oil out of your cabinet, put it all over your hair, leave for about 30 minutes, then wash with your normal shampoo and conditioner. Then BOOM shiny and gorgeous hair. You could also do this with coconut oil. If you haven't heard of coconut oil yet, then here you go… your life has officially been changed. Coconut oil is great for hair, skin, and even cooking!
An at home treatment that i just recently did is one that I found on pintrest.
Shampoo your hair, get out of the shower. Put conditioner in hair(don't leave anything out, paying extra attention to the ends)wrap in a plastic bag, then take a warm towel( just pop a dry towel in the dryer right before you get in the shower so its warm by the time you step out after shampooing)and wrap it around your head like you are towel drying your hair. Leave for 15 minuets, in that time you can get on pintrest and look up One Tree Hill photos( I'm still not over the fact that its over). Get back in the shower and rinse it out. DO NOT SLEEP OVER NIGHT WITH THIS ON YOUR HEAD. If you followed these instructions, then you have soft and silky hair.
k, I'm done rambling.
Hope you have a great rest of your week.
Much love,
Kacie

What I put on my face.
Hello again! So today I'm doing a bit of a different post. I usually do an fashion/outfit entry . But I'm here to tell you about some of the products I'm using at the moment. I'm one of those people who loves trying new products. Which is why I usually spend way more time than needed in the drugstore/makeup counter deciding on what to buy. Unless I have help from someone, than I'm usually sold on anything. A friend of mine works at the Chanel counter, and she could probably sell me a bag of mud. The point is, is that I'll probably be doing many of these.
So here we go!
So here we go!
Face.
So for a cleanser, I've been using Dark Angels from Lush. And immediately fell in love with it. It leaves your skin soft and glowing. Yeah, I said glowing. Sounds too much like a corny commercial, but that is how much I love this stuff. It works like an exfoliator, but does so much more. I had my roommate try some, and she immediately ordered a pot for herself. From time to time I'll use tea tree oil after this, and it really makes a difference.
So Cetaphil is great for anyone and everyone. Just an all around good cleanser. I use this when I don't have much time to wash my face,so it's a good on the go sort of thing. A little lazy girl beauty trick.
And this moisturizer. I like Aveeno products a lot. Especially if you have sensitive skin. Mine gets irritated easily(yup, no smelly lotions for me), so this brand is great for that. Soaks in very easily, doesn't leave you oily. I'm still on the look out for a great moisturizer, so if any of you have come across one that you like, hollar at me!
Make up.
So at the moment I haven't bothered with foundation. I'm usually looking pretty good with just this BB Cream from Chanel and concealer. This is a very radiant BB Cream with a decent amount of coverage. I either put it on with a brush or if I'm being SUPER lazy, my fingers. Making sure my makeup looks natural is a big deal with me. So products like this are perfect.
So I've heard about this concealer for years, but never really tried it out until now. And when I did, it was like "Why haven't you come into my life sooner?". It's the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer. It keeps my under eye circles at bay, without it looking cakey. One piece of advice I tell anyone about under eye concealers, is make sure it's a liquid. Solid tends to sink into your lines, bringing out those under eye bags. Pretty much defeating the purpose. But anyways. this concealer is great for blemishes too. I give it about 13 thumbs up.
So I've using liquid eyeliner for years. And even with the experience, I'm still not the best at applying it. And I've used many different kinds, and this Almay one has seemed to work the best for me. It actually lasts all day, and easy to remove. Dries well, with a very noticeable color. Something I have had problems in the past with other liquid liners. So this one has topped them all. But still on the look out for the next greatest liner.
This Mascara…. I can't tell you how wonderful it is. Its the Chanel Le Volume De Chanel mascara. My friend who easily sold me on it described it by saying "it gives you Porn Star lashes, in a good way". But its true. They give you long, full, an fluffy lashes. So this product comes with the highest recommendations from yours truly.
So, I'm not much of an eyeshadow fan. Ive had on and off eczema on my eyelids since I was 5. But when its not being a pain in my butt, ill use a bit of eyeshadow. I'm a fan of the neutrals plus a little bit of gold/tan to bring out my blue eyes. This Naked Basics palette does it for me. Even has colors for on the off chance I need to fill in my brows,or don't have eyeliner(I just use the black shade with an angled brush). So if you're looking for a small yet perfect palette, this one's for you.
And my go to lip product will be this Burt's Bees Mango Lip Balm. Nothing too special, just tastes great along with great lip moisture.
And Real Technique brushes. Hands down the best some what affordable brushes out there. Ive had mine for years, and the bristles are still in tack and are still as soft as ever. I have the expert face brush(which is an necessity), Powder brush, and the set of eye brushes.
Okay, so now you know what I like to put on my face.
Hope you enjoyed this post. Let me know what you think.
And have a wonderful week.
